Next-generation photo vending machines from Omron, NEC and Fuji Film started appearing in the Japanese market in late fall of 2002.

These machines handle a wide variety of digital input including cell phones, memory sticks, flash memory, PC cards and more.

They are fast and easy to operate and can print a variety of media from stickers to photos with frames.

They are being placed in non traditional places such as superstores, consumer electronics shops, mobile phone shops, fast food restaurants, convenience stores, game centers, CD/video rental shops, movie theatres, theme parks, and more.
